Transport for Christ is a “mission organization dedicated to reaching, supporting and encouraging truck drivers.” In addition to active ministry in Russia, Zambia, TFC has 33 Chapels at truck stop locations throughout North America. Three new chapels are currently in development: Beaverdam (OH), Indianapolis (IN) and Racine (WI). TFC Chaplains regularly visits drivers at terminals as well. TFC publishes a printed monthly magazine, Highway News and Good News, which is distributed across North America as well as in Africa and Australia. The magazine is also in PDF format on their website, along with a free Bible study series. They have a toll free 24/7 Trucker Prayer line: (877) 797-PRAY (7729) and a Christian blog called Daily Encouragement which is available for free subscription. TFC is developing a new Web Site at www.driverswellness.com to reach truckers from all aspects of wellness – physical, emotional, social, and spiritual. We are going to start looking for these chapels when we take a road trip and try to meet some of their chaplains on the road.
